DAILY MASS GOERS AND ADORERS
Our daily Masses (when school is not in attendance) are being celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel once again. All of our Eucharistic Adoration is also being prayed in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel once again.
Resources Regarding the Return to Mass
The Archdiocese Office of Worship and Evangelization has created several videos featuring Archdiocesan speakers that highlight the privilege and joy of being able to celebrate the Eucharist together as the Body of Christ. Each of these very brief videos addresses a specific facet of what a gift and a privilege it is for us to attend Sunday Mass. Please enjoy these videos and share them with others:
POPE FRANCIS ANNOUNCES THE YEAR OF THE FAMILY FROM MARCH 19,2021 - JUNE 26, 2022
Pope Francis established the Year of the Family on March 19, 2021, the Solemnity of St. Joseph. This marks the fifth anniversary of the publication of his Apostolic Exhortation, Amoris Laetitia, which means "The joy of love" and explores the beauty and joy found in family life. The Year of the Family will conclude on June 26, 2022, on the occasion of the tenth World Meeting of Families in Rome with the Holy Father. Pope Francis established the Year of the Family to help strengthen faith and live God’s joy more fruitfully in family life.
POPE FRANCIS’ PRAYER INTENTION FOR JANUARY
For true human fraternity We pray for all those suffering from religious discrimination and persecution; may their own rights and dignity be recognized, which originate from being brothers and sisters in the human family.
JANUARY IS THE MONTH OF HOLY NAME OF JESUS
The month of January is dedicated to the Holy Name of Jesus. “In the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth and under the earth” (Phil 2:10). Christ’s name is chosen in heaven and the Angel Gabriel announces it when he informs the Blessed Virgin of the incarnation: “Behold thou shall conceive in thy womb and shalt bring forth a son and thou shall call his name Jesus”. It is a name that has marvellous implications, for it means “saviour.” The very name bespeaks the magnitude of His mission, His infinite love, a love that will cause Him to offer Himself up for us. The name of Jesus is the sweetest of all names and He who bears it is most worthy of all love. He who calls Jesus, his friend, can be assured that this friend is the most devoted and unselfish of all friends.
A PRAYER FOR PROTECTION IN TIME OF PANDEMIC
O Mary, you always brighten our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the Cross, took part in Jesus’ pain while remaining steadfast in the faith. O loving mother, you know what we need, and we are confident you will provide for us as at Cana in Galilee. Intercede for us with your Son Jesus, the Divine Physician, for those who have fallen ill, for those who are vulnerable, and for those who have died. Intercede also for those charged with protecting the health and safety of others and for those who are tending to the sick and seeking a cure. Help us, O Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who took upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows, so as to lead us, through the Cross, to the glory of the Resurrection. Amen.
Under thy protection, we seek refuge, O Holy Mother of God. In our needs, despise not our petitions, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen. Adapted from the prayer of Pope Francis

PRAYER TO CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME
Father of all, Creator and ruler of the universe, You entrusted your world to us as a gift. Help us to care for it and all people, that we may live in a right relationship-- with You, with ourselves, with one another, and with creation.
Christ our Lord, both divine and human, You lived among us and died for our sins. Help us to imitate your love for the human family by recognizing that we are all connected— to our brothers and sisters around the world, to those in poverty impacted by environmental devastation, and to future generations.
Holy Spirit, the giver of wisdom and love, You breathe life in us and guide us. Help us to live according to your vision, stirring to action the hearts of all— individuals and families, communities of faith, and civil and political leaders.
Triune God, help us to hear the cry of those in poverty, and the cry of the earth, so that we may together care for our common home. Amen.
This prayer from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is based on Pope Francis' Laudato Si': On Care for Our Common Home
