How can I give my time and talent to our parish?

The Parish Council is a consultative group of parishioners who meet with the pastor on the fourth Tuesday of each month.   This year the Parish Council has one open seat and will hold elections during mass on the weekend of August 21st.  This is a three-year term that begins in September.    Please prayerfully consider if you are being called to serve the Church in this capacity.  If interested, contact the parish office or one of the Council members listed below by August 7th to add your name to the ballot.

POPE FRANCIS’ PRAYER INTENTION FOR SEPTEMBER

For people living on the margins. We pray for those persons living on the margins of society, in inhumane life conditions; may they not be overlooked by institutions and never considered of lesser importance.

SEPTEMBER IS THE MONTH OF THE SEVEN SORROWS (DOLOURS) OF MARY (Feast Day September 15)

September is traditionally dedicated to the Seven Sorrows (or Dolours) of Mary, and the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows falls in September. The Sorrows are: the prophecy of Simeon, the flight into Egypt, the loss of the Holy Child at Jerusalem for three days, meeting Jesus on his way to Calvary, standing at the foot of the Cross, Jesus being taken from the Cross, and the burial of Christ. Read more about Our Lady of Sorrows in our article here.

SCHEDULE YOUR MASS INTENTIONS

Weekend Masses are booked through the end of the year. Daily Masses are available as early as next week. Call Kim at the parish office 317-546-4065 ext 332 to schedule a Mass intention in memory of a loved one or for the special intention of a loved one. The stipend is $10.

If you need a priest in an emergency, please use our emergency phone (317-987-7818).
